/The Town of Dryden is Seeking a Community/Land Use Planner
The Town of Dryden seeks to hire a professional planner that will work to promote and progress the wellbeing of our community, environment and economy. To accomplish this work, the selected candidate will work alongside diverse committees on a broad range of community projects. Some of these ongoing projects include rewriting our Zoning and Subdivision Laws to align with our recently updated comprehensive plan, expanding a rail trail network that crosses our entire township, constructing a municipal broadband fiber network, addressing affordable housing issues, and implementing a list of initiatives that make the Town a designated Climate Smart Community.
Aside from the work mentioned above, the selected candidate will also be responsible for enforcing Dryden’s Zoning Law and guiding applicants through local permitting and approval processes such as site plan reviews, variance requests, special use permits and subdivision and planned unit development applications. This works entails working closely with, and reporting to, the Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals.
